The past 12 months have been positively monumental in my development as a well adjusted adult. I jumped off a bridge, asked that engaged guy to go bowling with us and have finally told preston how i feel about him, although significant none of these compare to me taking my sweatshirt off and going dancing.
I have never felt more uninhibited or more confident than i did last night with the music pounding and the lights flashing and millions of nasty A teenagers dancing all up on me.
I am no dancer, I just don't do it I am awkward looking and in previous attempts i have snapped my fingers a few times swayed about and then promptly given up to mock those around me. The problem with that approach last night was that the music was too loud to really make any snarky comments to my friends so instead i forgot about them and about the people around me decided i was going to have a good time.
It was surprisingly easy in that environment to just flail my limbs about to whatever sort of rhythm was pulsing in my head, in hindsight i am sure that is exactly what i looked like some girl not knowing what to do otherwise was just wiggling arms and legs in the hopes that she wouldn't draw much attention to herself.
But i didn't care if people saw me i shook my booty i jumped around i threw up my hands and i am pretty sure i hip checked a couple of people on accident.
When we finished it was close to midnight i had gotten four hours of sleep the night before and had to wake up at 5:30 this morning but i didn't care i was sweaty and exhausted but mostly just very very happy.
