It was the day i got my computer

he met me and mom at the bookstore and i decided to take the rest of the day off. We went in search of food, to two different sushi bars and then settled at the soup kitchen. I remember leaving my car at his new synagogue and putting my computer in the trunk of his, i was so worried someone would steal it. we parked a bit away and held hands as we crossed the street to the restauraunt i was elated, high on my recent purchase and my unexpected freedom from work. walking back to his car we stopped at a used bookstore where we lingered discussing science fiction novels as we continued walking we stopped in a few more shops, browsing. When we got to his car, instead of taking me back to the synagogue we went to a small russian store somewhere off of foothill he grabbed a paper bag and told me to pick what i thought looked interesting this suprised and excited me as i sifted through the oddly wrapped chocolates i picked the ones that had the most interestong pictures on them. I believe i threw them away, i wish i hadn't.
back at home his mix was the first added to my freshly bought computer,in my excitement i hugged him hard and long not caring that family members were in the next room.

Going back to sandy always is a reminder of days like these and i wish i would have documented them to some degree. Then again it is probably for the best that i didn't i am sure i have forgotten quite a bit which is good but sad.
